2021 Employee Commute Report
A new County-Wide employee commute survey, specific to Monterey County Health Department employees, was conducted at the end of 2021 reflecting responses from 811 out of the 5,497 county employees at the time. This report reviews commuting patterns and transportation options. Employee Commute contributes to over 50% of Monterey County’s Municipal greenhouse gas emissions. To better understand commuting patterns and driver behavior of the county employees, the Sustainability Program conducted an Employee Commuter Survey at the end of 2021 and developed a final report.
